2024 Bellevue Muni Golf Club Tournament Policies

 

**NEW FOR 2024**
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Members must play in at least two BMGC events to be considered eligible for the Club Championship.

Tournament Sign Up

Sign up deadline for weekend tournaments is 11:59 pm on the Wednesday prior to the event. You may sign up online, in person at the pro shop or over the phone. Tournament payment is due by the entry deadline. Any player not paid by the entry deadline will be removed from the tournament. The tee sheet will be final at 6:00 pm Friday night.

 

Withdrawals

Withdrawal from tournaments that are communicated prior to 6:00 pm on Thursday will receive a full refund. Withdrawal prior to 5:00 pm on Friday will receive a refund of the tournament fee only.  There are no refunds after 5:00 pm on the Friday before the tournament.  Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed/considered by the tournament committee.

 

Cancellation

If the golf course is open for play, the scheduled BMGC event will be played. There are some instances that the tournament committee and the course management may deem conditions not tournament worthy.  In this case, players are entitled to a full refund or credit towards a future tournament round. 

 

Exceptional Rounds

A round is deemed Exceptional (In a Qualifying Tournament*) when the player is three or more shots below the course par (71).  Any player with two exceptional rounds in a season will be subject to a tournament handicap adjustment.

The adjustment will be the average of your two exceptional rounds and will remain in effect until the player shoots 2 rounds 3 strokes or more above the adjusted handicap. 

*Qualifying Tournament: Any BMGC Tournament where an individual score is posted to GHIN, along with any individual stroke play tournament conducted outside of the Washington posting season. This excludes any match play, team events, or rounds with temporary greens. 

 

New Golfer/Temp Handicaps

Any new BMGC member with 10 or fewer posted scores will have their BMGC tournament handicap adjusted to 75% of their effective GHIN Index.  Exceptional rounds will be reduced to one tournament round of three or more net strokes under the rating (71) until the golfer reaches the requisite number of rounds for a valid handicap.

Tournament Results

Tournament results are official and will not be altered two days after the results are posted on the web page.  Any discrepancy in payout or results must be brought to the Tournament Chairman prior to this date.

 

Pace Of Play

Tournament rounds should be completed in under 4 hours and 20 minutes or finished within 15 minutes of the group ahead of them. Scorecards must be stamped after 9 holes and 18 holes, respectively. All players must complete the 18th hole prior to the scorecard being stamped at the end of the round.  Failure to meet these requirements will result in a 2-stroke penalty for all players in the group.  Any player that incurs multiple enforced pace-of-play violations during a calendar year will be banned from participating in any future tournaments until the next calendar year.  "Slow Play Hurts Everyone"
